Bride-to-be killed in crash as family pay tribute to 'the glue that held everyone together'

Tributes have been paid to a bride-to-be who died in a car crash. Sarah Lumb's fiancé paid tribute to 'a beautiful, amazing mother, sister and partner' as her family hailed her as 'the glue that held everyone together'.

Emergency services attended North Moor Lane in Halsall, near Ormskirk in Lancashire, on Monday morning after reports of a serious collision.

Her car came off the road at around 8.20am and despite the best efforts of emergency responders, Ms Lumb, 42, from Southport in Lancashire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lancashire Police, reports Lancs Live, said her family were being supported by specially trained officers, adding in a statement: "Our thoughts are with them at this very sad time." Sarah's daughter, Jess, said: "She was an amazing, compassionate and loving mother, who will be dearly missed.
