Bolton Wanderers suffered their first home defeat since mid-January in League One with a slender 1-0 loss against Plymouth Argyle.
Wanderers went behind just before half-time after Macauley Gillesphey headed home from Jordan Houghton's corner. The hosts switched to a back four early in the second half and Wanderers looked much better for it. Wanderers are now 10 points from the play-offs and their chances of making the top six are now even more unlikely after the loss, with eight games left to go.
And taking to Twitter after the defeat, many Wanderers fans believe the play-offs this season may now be a step too far, but have confidence and optimism for the 2022/23 campaign after what they have seen.
