Police Scotland has confirmed they have found a body in the Highlands in their search for a popular musician from Paisley. Cops say that Gordon Don, 48, was found in the water at Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, on Wednesday, 29 June.

Gordon's body was discovered near Blackwater Reservior and officers had previously made an appeal to try and identify the hillwalker.

Cops revealed that Gordon was wearing hillwalking clothes and say that the death is not being treated as suspicious but a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

In a statement his family said: “Gordon has gone too soon. He will be sadly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.” Detective Sergeant Joe Newson said: “Our thoughts are with Gordon’s family at this difficult time and they have asked for privacy.“I would also like to thank the public who responded to our appeal to identify Gordon.
