A family have been left heartbroken by the death of their warm weather after he was left in the back of a pet sitter's car that was 'like a sauna'.
Banjo the Bernese Mountain dog and his brother were taken out by the sitter in 22C heat on Friday 17th June - without their owners knowledge.
Now, the devastated owners are appealing for details for witnesses who may have seen the dogs in Gloucester, due to the sitter not having permission to take them out, especially in such warm weather.
Andrea Brown had come across the dog sitter agency online and had used them on a occasion for several months before the tragedy, the Liverpool Echo reports. The 49-year-old said: "I have had Banjo and his brother since they were pups, and both are seven years old, but I have kept Bernese Mountain dogs for years.“I know you can not take them for walks like you would a spaniel or a terrier.
