Ayr United move to complete new North Stand works ahead of glamour Celtic friendly

Ayr United are racing towards the completion of all work relating to their brand new North Stand, ahead of a key inspection on Tuesday, June 18.The club is putting the finishing touches to their ambitious redevelopment in order to gain a safety certificate.

With a glamour pre-season friendly fixture with Premiership champions Celtic looming on Friday, July 5, the club needs that safety certificate in advance of the fixture.And top brass are confident the works will be complete ahead of next week’s spot check.Representing the club during a South Ayrshire Council Regulatory Panel (Licensing) meeting on Wednesday was Roy Provan, the club’s safety manager.

There were further meetings yesterday (Tuesday) with regards to the North Stand and what the issues were. It’s been all approved and materials ordered.
