Joao Cancelo has strongly refuted claims he was difficult to his teammates or any staff in the build-up to his sudden Manchester City exit in January.

Cancelo joined Bayern Munich on loan on transfer deadline day, with the German giants having an option to purchase the full-back for around £61m in the summer.

He insisted that he left on good terms and has rubbished the idea that he had a falling out with Pep Guardiola, and the City manager backed up that claim, insisting that Cancelo simply wanted to play regularly.

Now, Cancelo has opened up on the conversation he had with Guardiola that led to his loan exit, and put the record straight on the claims that his attitude saw him forced out.
