Amanda Holden breaks down in tears over 18 year old daughter's shock news and prepares to say goodbye
ok.co.ukAmanda Holden has cried to her friend Alan Carr about her daughters growing up and leaving home.The Britain's Got Talent judge and radio presenter got emotional as she talked about the prospects of Alexa, 18, and Hollie, 12, flying the nest.The 53-year-old told her friend and co-host Alan Carr on their show Amanda and Alan's Italian Job the thought of it is "terrible." The mum, who shared two girls with her husband Chris Hughes, said: "When your children, when they leave home, you only spend a year of your life with them ever again. "They say you have 18 summers and then you're lucky to see them." Alan said: "oh dear" as Amanda began to tear up.
While crying she added: "It's so terrible because you wish so much of it away when you're a busy parent. "You're like 'shushh or hurry up or what', or your on your phone, or cooking dinner, or something goes wrong... "And then you go 'oh my gosh' , then you turn around and they're not even there.They're gone." Alan asked how she is going to cope to which Amanda replied: "Don't." Amanda posted a clip of the moving conversation with Alan to Instagram with the caption: "Time flies, enjoy it." Her post comes after it's reported that her oldest daughter, Lexi, is looking to study in an American university after finishing her A-levels.
Lexi has also signed to Storm Management, one of the UK's top modelling agencies that is sure to get her travelling world wide for work.
The agency works with international names such as Cara Delevingne and Anya Taylor-Joy. A source close to Amanda has claimed that the mum-of-two knows that Lexi will be leaving home soon.
