Disney Animation’s Upcoming Slate Includes A ‘Moana’ Series, ‘Encanto,’ Zootopia+ Short-Form Series & Much More
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee made several announcements today, including the studio’s next feature film, its first foray into animated series, and a first-of-its-kind collaboration with a Pan-African entertainment company. The first big announcement concerning their upcoming feature film slate is that animated film “Raya & The Last Dragon” will be heading to Premier Access on Disney+ as part of a new attempt to begin releasing certain films on both the streaming service and in regular theaters on the same date of March 5th, not as drastic as WarnerMedia’s new release model.
