Hundreds of Wilko stores will close throughout autumn and winter. It comes after a deal that hoped to saved many locations and thousands of jobs fell through.

Meanwhile, more than 1,600 redundancies at Wilko have been announced in recent weeks. Wilko has already announced a £13 million deal to sell 51 shops to B&M, although the rival discounter has not agreed to take on Wilko workers as part of the deal.
