Andy Grammer is the first artist under the new partnership and will release a new single, “Lease On Life,” on June 28.Said Greenberg: “We’re absolutely thrilled to launch this new chapter of the S-Curve.

Wednesday press release from Berkshire Hathaway’s Business Wire.The 50-year-old rapper, whose given name is Calvin Broadus Jr, acquired the company from private equity controlled MNRK Music Group, the release said.“I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value,” Snoop Dogg said, according to the release.“It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”It wasn’t clear how much Snoop paid for the label, which filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and was sold six years later as founder Suge Knight battled legal and financial troubles.
