For the latest Tameside news sign up to the MyTameside newsletter here A ‘greedy’ drug dealer has been jailed after he was found with £200,000 worth of drugs in his home, as well as £33,000 in cash.

Richard Southward, 41, first came to the attention of officers in the Buxton area when they noticed him sitting in his car by a bus stop.

After a man joined him, the pair drove to a side street where they both got out. Officers stopped them, Southward of Ashton-Under-Lyne, remained but the other man ran off, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.

Following a search of the car they found cannabis, £420 cash and tablets, then following a further search of Southward in custody, cocaine worth £640 fell from his trousers.
