Where ITV Emmerdale viewers have seen Rhona's mum Mary before
manchestereveningnews.co.ukRhona Goskirk got quite the surprise at the start of this week when her mum appeared in the village. Emmerdale viewers were briefly introduced to Mary during Monday night's edition of the ITV soap, which aired in its new time slot for the first time.
Rhona was a bit distracted at the time of her mother's arrival as she was planning to pop the question to her partner, Marlon Dingle. It came after Pierce sent Rhona a letter asking for her help in tracking down his son because he was dying from cancer after being put behind bars many years ago for the murder of Graham Foster after previously being locked up for raping Rhona.
But Rhona also knew that Pierce had died before Paddy Dingle saw it in the paper and told Marlon, leaving him more upset that Rhona hadn't confined in him.
