Woman dies after horror HGV smash on M8 in Edinburgh as cops launch probe

A woman has tragically died after being involved in a crash with an HGV on the M8 in Edinburgh.Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway near Hermiston Gait at around 9.10am on Monday, December 18.A MAN HGV had collided with a Kia Sorento, near junction one, leaving the 41-year-old driver of the car dead at the scene.The busy road was closed for over nine hours for a full accident investigation to be carried out.

Officers from Police Scotland are now appealing for anyone with dashcam footage from the area to get in touch.
