Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

justjared.comFans of One Direction lit up the internet following rumors that Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik were planning to get the band back together for the final episode of James Corden‘s The Late, Late Show.
Reports suggested that all five members would be appearing on the show, where they made multiple cameos over the years. It would have marked their first big group appearance since Zayn went solo in 2015.
The remaining members of the band went on hiatus later that year. Since then, they’ve all pursued solo careers and had some small reunions over the years.
However, this would have been the first time that all five of the guys were together again. So is there any truth to the rumor?
