Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to hit parts of the UK and Greater Manchester over the weekend. The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for Greater Manchester, for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The change in weather comes after temperatures peaked a little higher than they have in recent days, to around 27 degrees celsius in Greater Manchester.

Temperatures will still be in the low 20s over the weekend. While we can expect to see some rain showers on Friday, the storms are expected to start around 10am on Saturday and later in the afternoon on Sunday.
