As temperatures soar in excess of 30C in some areas of the UK today (Friday 17 June), it's important to stay safe while enjoying the super sunny weather.
It's easy for us Brits to get carried away when the sun shines and the temperature begins to rise into the 20s - and above. We might want to soak up as much of the vitamin D as possible and make the most of the good weather by spending as much time outside as we can.
But too much time in the sun at once, especially when we're not used to such hot conditions, can be dangerous - especially for children, the elderly or people with long-term health conditions.
It could cause heat exhaustion, which, if left untreated, can turn into heatstroke - which needs to be treated as an emergency, according to the NHS.
