Mr Jones, 52, pleaded not guilty to the charge, which is said to have occurred in 1993. He has previously denied other alleged sexual offences.
Mr Jones previously pleaded not guilty to one count of rape and four counts of sexual assault. The allegations concern three women.
A trial date has been set for February 2022. Mr Jones, of Brooks Drive, Hale Barns, was granted unconditional bail following the hearing at Manchester Crown Court.
