Demi Jones says ‘pain is so much worse’ after having thyroid completely removed

Love Island contestant Demi Jones has been very open with her social media followers about her journey with thyroid cancer, and she has now spoken about her second gruelling surgery.

Demi went into hospital to undergo surgery for a full thyroidectomy, which removes the entire thyroid gland, hopefully also removing all the remaining cancerous cells in Jones’ body.

However, following the surgery, the 22-year-old admitted that she was in much more pain than she had been after her first operation which was to remove a large cancerous growth on the gland.

Demi is staying in hospital for a few days to recover and taking to Instagram, the reality star said: ‘I’ve just woken up. Pain is so much worse this time.
