Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Uddingston church opens new free community cafe

An Uddingston church has opened their doors to the public to offer a heated community space and bite to eat every Tuesday.St John the Baptist Church hall, on Lower Millgate in the town, are welcoming people between the hours of 12pm and 4pm to pop along and enjoy some company in a heated hall.The initiative also aims to help people during the current cost of living crisis by providing the offer of a free bowl of soup, coffee, tea and a biscuit to anyone who comes along.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A spokesperson for the Church told Lanarkshire Live : "We were blown away by the amount of people who had heard about our new free community cafe last Tuesday. "It was lovely to see so many people come along and enjoy each others company in a safe, warm environment over a bowl of soup, a cup of tea or coffee and a nice Tunnock's teacake."We will be running this non-demnominational initiative, for all ages, over the coming winter months and look forward to meeting new people
