An eight-year-old schoolboy died three days after testing positive for Covid-19 and being sent home for feeling ill. Jasper Bryan Cook, from West Yorkshire, was sent home from school after feeling ill on January 17 when his health quickly began to deteriorate.
He was rushed to hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties but tragically died the same day. Kim said: "There were literally no warning signs. There were no signs this could happen, or was going to happen, or was expected or anything. "It's taken the legs out from under us." Kim and Jasper's dad Ian have complained that they have not yet received any answers over why he died.
They say it has left a "gaping" hole in their lives while waiting for the coroner's report. In the days that followed Jasper coming home, Kim described him as being "a little sick".
