Tributes paid to 'beautiful soul' who died days before her birthday in horror crash

A young woman who was killed in a horror crash in Perthshire tragically died just two days before her 20th birthday.Devastated friends and loved ones of Erin Slane paid heartfelt tributes to her this week, wishing her a “happy heavenly birthday".

Social media was flooded with well-wishers on Tuesday, September 3 as pals posted pictures of the former Perth Grammar pupil, calling her a “beautiful soul inside and out".Tragically, Erin was killed in a crash on the B9099 Luncarty to Stanley Road, near the junction leading to Gowrie Farmon on Sunday September, 1 at 2.50am.Despite best efforts of emergency services, Erin, who was a passenger in the car, could not be saved.

Her heartbroken dad led birthday wishes just days after the tragic road collision.Posting on Facebook, Steven Slane, said: “Happy heavenly birthday to my daughter Erin.

Tragically taken on Sunday 1st September.”He added: “Brightest star in the sky shine bright my beautiful princess love you forever, dad”One devastated pal told how the pair had not long returned from major UK dance festival, Creamfields, where they were “dancing their hearts out".Melanie Gallacher shared a picture of the pair and wrote: “Last weekend we were dancing our hearts out at Creamfields and now we need to learn to live without you.“Happy Birthday my beautiful girl….life will never be the same again.
