Trams stopped as man arrested by dog handlers after 'fight' leaving two people hospitalised

Trams were completely stopped on Thursday night after a reported fight which left two people injured. A man was arrested by dog handlers on suspicion of assault after the incident, which happened near Abraham Moss tram stop shortly before 8pm.

Officers arrived at the scene and arrested one male after he was found and detained by specialist dog handlers. The condition of the two people injured has not yet been confirmed but they were taken to hospital.

Transport for Greater Manchester announced that services on the Bury line between Whitefield and Queens Road were completely cancelled.
