A ‘doting dad’ who ‘lived for his children’ took his own life after an ‘ongoing struggle’ with his mental health, an inquest has heard.
Stephen Hughes, 44, was found dead at his home on May Walk in Partington, Trafford on Sunday, July 23 last year. A hearing on Monday (January 15) at South Manchester Coroners' Court in Stockport heard how Stephen’s mother had gone to his home that morning ‘fearing the worst’ after not receiving her daily message from him. Giving evidence, detective inspector Matt Dixon, of GMP's Trafford District, said police received a call from Stephen’s mother after she arrived at her son’s address on July 23.
