The attacking midfielder missed out on the first game of the Europa League group stage with a knee injury that Michael Beale stated was picked up due to a challenge in the final stages of the derby defeat to Celtic.
Cantwell was given the diagnosis of missing four games and the Englishman sat out the clash with St Johnstone and is only watching the the Light Blues clash with the La Liga outfit Real Betis.
However, the 25-year-old remaining upbeat as he was put on the spot over his fitness while speaking to TNT Sports before the Scottish Premiership outfit faced Beits.
