This Morning viewers slam Halloween tree segment branding it 'too far'

This Morning fans have fumed after presenters Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson shared a way to incorporate Christmas trees into Halloween decorations, despite Christmas Day still being 84 days away. “If you are desperate to get the festive season started early, we have got the perfect solution for you,” Holly told viewers.

Josie then explained the idea saying: “In the latest trend to swoop social media, people are putting up their Christmas trees early and giving them a spooky makeover in honour of Halloween.” During the part of the show, Georgina Burnett showed Holly and Josie different kinds of decorations for the tree to make it look ready for Halloween, with Holly suggesting it would ‘save you a job” and people could then redecorate the tree for Christmas.

However, viewers quickly took to social media to express how unhappy they were with the show’s segment. One penned: “@thismorning showing Halloween Christmas trees, @itv please cancel this show immediately smh.” Another said: "What a waste of money and we’re in a cost of living crisis fgs #ThisMorning.” A third wrote: “Halloween trees are too far #thismorning." For gawd sake ! NO. #thismorning." Earlier in the programme Josie, 38, revealed a new part of her morning routine which surprised co-host Holly, 42.
