manchestereveningnews.co.ukA new 200,000 sq ft office block has been completed in the city centre which is Manchester’s first to achieve a major environmental award.
The building, 4 Angel Square, has achieved a five star NABERS ‘design for performance’ rating. The rating means the 11-storey 4 Angel Square should be a highly-sustainable building as it is used, as well as during the construction phase.
Its completion also represents a milestone in the progression of NOMA, the 20-acre area surrounding Victoria Station which has been developed for the last two decades.
Next door is 1 Angel Square, currently used as Co-op’s head office, with plans for 2 and 3 Angel Square in the works.
