Teenagers tried to save Steven McMyler as he lay dying in Wigan churchyard, court hears

The 34-year-old joiner, from Marsh Green, was found with serious injuries in Wigan Parish Church gardens on August 6 last year.

Lewis Peake, 30, is alleged to have recruited four others to assault Mr McMyler in an attempt to take his 'very valuable' Rolex watch.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, but after agreeing that attempts to resuscitate him were not working, medics pronounced Mr McMyler dead.
