Wigan man Steven McMyler likely died from kick to head with 'considerable force', court hears

The 34-year-old joiner from Marsh Green died after he was found with serious injuries in the gardens of Wigan Parish Church on August 6 last year.

Prosecutors allege that he was attacked by a group of young men who were trying to rob him and take his Rolex watch. His death probably came about because of a kick to his face which had 'considerable force' behind it, an expert has told Manchester Crown Court.

Professor Philip Lumb, a forensic pathologist, told the jury he had examined the scene and performed a post mortem examination on Mr McMyler's body, which revealed that
