An 18 year old boy who starred in Freddie Flintoff's BBC show, Umar Mahmood, has died in a horrific car accident, his former school has confirmed.
Penwortham Priory Academy announced the devastating loss of their former pupil, Umar Mahmood, following a fatal car crash in Preston.The ex-student was involved in a incident on Chain Caul Way on Tuesday, September 10, where the Audi A3 Sport he was travelling in careered off the road and hit trees.
He sustained severe injuries and was critically ill in hospital until his untimely death.The institution, which Umar had left two years ago, is also grieving for another pupil lost to the same tragedy, 16 year old Adam Bodi.
In remembrance, the academy praised Umar as a "bright" and "studious" young man.They took special note of his role in the BBC One documentary'Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams, expressing pride in his enthusiasm for both cricket and geography.
