Teen charged with dangerous driving and clocking 150mph on Borders road

A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with two speeding incidents on a busy Scots road and driving at speeds of up to 150mph.

The separate offences were committed in August and September on sections of the A1 near Lamberton, just north of the border.

Police said the vehicle reached 144mph on a southbound section of the road in the first instance and, on the second occasion, the car was detected at 150mph on a dual carriageway section.
