Elizabeth II
Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

There were tears on Gogglebox as it returned for the second time since the Queen's death was announced. Queen Elizabeth II died last Thursday, September 8, at Balmoral.

She was 96 and recently celebrated 70 years on the throne with her Platinum Jubilee, making her the longest-reigning monarch in British history.

The hit Channel 4 show debuted its brand new series last Friday (September 9) but didn't include any tribute to reaction to the Queen's passing as it had been filmed prior to the Queen's passing.

As usual, Craig Cash narrated the show and started with his usual opening line while referencing the historic event. "In the week before the sad passing of Her Majesty the Queen, there was plenty on telly," the former Royal Family star said.
