The world will be watching. Queen Elizabeth II will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Prince Philip, in St George’s Chapel during her funeral on Monday, September 19.United States residents will be able to watch live coverage of the historic event on NBC, CNN, ABC and Fox News.
The funeral will begin at 6 a.m. ET after a procession of the queen’s coffin from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, which is set to begin at 5:44 a.m.
ET.According to NPR, as many as 750,000 people are expected to travel to London for the occasion and pay their respects to the longest-reigning British monarch.
Buckingham Palace announced the news of the queen’s death at age 96 in a statement on September 8.“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
