Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Taylor Swift appears to have been ruled out of headlining Glastonbury 2024. The pop star has released three new dates for her UK Eras tour in 2024 with shows in Edinburgh on June 9, Liverpool on June 13 and London on June 23 being announced on Wednesday.

They are in addition to the 10 UK shows previously confirmed for next June and August. Taylor will also be bringing her Eras Tour to Dublin's Aviva Stadium on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29, 2024 as well as a new date on Sunday, June 30.

She has also announced that her support act for the gigs will be Paramore. There had previously been rumours that the megastar could be a surprise addition to Glastonbury next year.

However this appears to have been ruled out as fans have been quick to point out, the third Dublin date would coincide with a possible headline slot on the final night of the 2024 festival. @jameshendicott posted on Twitter: "Interestingly the third Taylor Swift Dublin show means she's not playing Glastonbury.
