‘Survivor’ 47: Meet the 18 Castaways Competing in Twist-Packed New Season

CBS announced the new Season 47 cast on Wednesday — including one competitor many will recognize.The new season, which kicks off with a two-hour premiere on September 18 before moving back to 90-minute weekly episodes, features “Pod Save America” co-host and former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett, “who finds himself thrust into a world filled with a different kind of cutthroat politics,” per the press release.Jeff Probst returns as host and showrunner for the season, which also features an ER doctor, an AI research assistant, a flight school owner and a sports reporter.
As always, only one will make it to the end, taking home the $1 million prize.This season, once again taking place in Fiji, will delve into the group as they navigate “unexpected obstacles” and “face a twist-packed season from the moment they step on the beach.” Season 47 will include extreme situations, mental and physical challenges and moral dilemmas for the 18 castaways to endure.“Survivor” is also available to stream on Paramount+.
