jungle. The women's footballing icon - who was recently in the spotlight for being nominated for a Freedom of the City award in Sunderland - is set to be one of the new contestants this year, reports The Sun.
An inside source claims that the 35-year-old, who only recently announced her retirement from women's football in August, was a natural choice for the ITV reality staple. Read more: Jill Scott, Steph Houghton and Gary Bennett to be nominated for Freedom of Sunderland The Daily Star reports that the source said midfielder Jill became 'an instant star' when she appeared to swear at Germany's Sydney Lohmann in the Euro 2022 final - adding: "It was always rumoured that ITV wanted one of the team in the jungle and Jill is a natural choice. " I'm A Celebrity is set to get under way later this year, with a new group of stars living on basic rations and tackling the gruelling Bushtucker trials.
The show has been in Gwrych Castle in Wales for the last two years because of the coronavirus pandemic, but is now returning to Australia, which hosts Ant and Dec have said is its 'spiritual home'.
