Stephen Fry's recent drastic five-stone weight loss and a bout of severe sickness has led him to issue a warning about the use of the weight loss drug Ozempic.
He found it to be "astonishing" in the initial stages as he effortlessly shed pounds; however, his experience took a dreadful turn, causing him to throw up five times a day.Famous TV personality Fry admitted he was an "early adopter" of this medication, approved in the United States and Canada since 2018 as a treatment for diabetes and obesity reports the Mirror.
Aimed at curbing his weight gain, he joined the ranks of celebrities such as Sharon Osbourne and Amy Schumer who have reportedly chosen Ozempic over exercise in an effort to manage their weight.Developed for diabetes management, the active ingredient in Ozempic, semaglutide, is also used today to fight obesity.
Initially, Fry, 66, was left in awe at how this medicine banished all cravings for food and drink.Unfortunately, violent illness soon followed, forcing him to discontinue the injections.
