A British pop star has sadly died after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. 21-year-old singer and songwriter Faye Fantarrow from Sunderland died at home on Saturday.
The promising young talent was being mentored by Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, who was helping her with her music. The devastated Sweet Dreams hitmaker paid tribute to Faye, describing her as "so amazing, funny, and full of life." In a statement, he added: "It's a terrible, terrible loss.
She could have really built up a huge following that understood what she was singing about. "I love the fact that she kept her accent.
She was very true to who she was." Her passing was announced by her mother, Pam Fantarrow, who said her daughter was "the brightest star on the darkest night" with "a passion for living." The songstress had already beaten childhood leukaemia twice between the ages of 8 and 13, but in August 2022, she was told she had an aggressive brain tumour.
