Scots salon owner makes face masks 'non-mandatory' over coronavirus 'hoax' claims

coronavirus pandemic is a ‘hoax’. Brent Burnett, who is the owner of Glenwood Salon in Glenrothes, Fife, has shared a number of conspiracy theories that claim to refute the existence of Covid-19 over social media.

He claims to our sister title Edinburgh Live that the global outbreak of coronavirus is to cover up  the rollout of 5G and is being used to create divisions in society.

A Facebook post from the salon says that staff will not be wearing face covering inside the premises. Customers have also been told that wearing them is not mandatory by the salon, despite Scottish Government laws saying otherwise.

Salon staff and customers must wear a face covering and could face a fixed penalty notice from Police Scotland if the law is found to.
