Princess Diana's former Royal bodyguard believes that she would have "accepted" Charles and Camilla's relationship if she were still alive.
Ken Wharfe, who spent years protecting Diana as a Scotland Yard officer, shared his perspective on how Diana might have felt about her ex-husband's marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles, now Queen Consort, reports the Mirror.His remarks come as Royal admirers gathered at Kensington Palace, Diana's former residence, to mark the 27th anniversary of her passing by laying flowers in her memory.In an interview, Wharfe explained: "Part of Diana's struggle was her naive hope that the relationship with Camilla would eventually fade." Reflecting on his time with Diana from the mid-1980s, he added, "But let's be honest, Camilla was always present.
Even during my time with Diana, Camilla was a constant topic of conversation."Wharfe recalled how Diana openly shared her feelings about the situation with him: "Diana felt the need to give me the full picture of their relationship.
At the time, I questioned it, but listening to her helped me understand her better. She truly believed the affair would end.
