Police are appealing for help in tracing a missing prisoner originally from Paisley.Renfrewshire police are asking the public for assistance in tracing John Paul Lynch, an inmate at HMP Castle Huntly, Dundee, who has absconded.Lynch, 45, was reported missing to police around 6.45pm on Thursday, March 3. Lynch is described as white, around 5ft 7ins, of average build, with short dark brown hair.He has a distinctive scar on the left side of his face.When last seen he was clean shaven and wearing glasses, a cream jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.He is originally from Paisley and Police claim he may return to this area.If seen, members of the public should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3117 of Thursday, 3 March, 2022.
