Amanda Holden
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Planning application submitted for £20 million Marple Community Hub

A planning application has been submitted for a new £20 million community hub in Marple. It marks a step forward for the project which is set to kickstart regeneration in the town.

The scheme would see Marple Library demolished along with the existing police station and health clinic, to be replaced with the new community and leisure facility. READ MORE: A 'proud' Greater Manchester town is about to be transformed...

and this is only the start Stockport council was awarded £20 million of levelling up funds in March 2023 which it will use for the Marple Community Hub.

If approved, the new community hub would have a five-lane swimming pool, a ground floor library with a small cafe, a 60-station fitness suite, shared community spaces, and the relocated Marple clinic.
