A set of photos posted by Meghan Markle reportedly "sparked a war" between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the now-Queen Camilla.
Meghan, 42, was photographed on a visit to London's National Theatre in March 2020 as part of her duties as royal patron, just weeks before she and Prince Harry officially stepped down from royal duties. The photos were then uploaded to the Sussexes's now-deleted Instagram account, which saw the mum-of-two posing in a white blouse and pencil skirt as she visited the theatre's Immersive Storytelling Studio.
However, the decision to immediately upload the photos to Instagram sparked a feud between Meghan and Camilla. At the time a source told the Daily Star that the couple had been requested to delay releasing the photos in order to avoid "overshadowing" a speech Camilla had given on domestic violence on the same day.The Sussexes's refusal to listen to these concerns led to Camilla being left "furious" at the pair for stealing her limelight.
OK! have contacted Buckingham Palace for comment. Reflecting on this, royal expert Duncan Larcombe told The Sun: "The 'men in grey suits' are at pains to avoid diary clashes and the prospect of one member of the family outshining the other on the same day. "Camilla would be justified at being miffed to say the least.
