People in Lanarkshire invited to sign up for MND Scotland's annual fundraising run

MND Scotland is encouraging people in Lanarkshire of all ages and abilities to sign up for its annual fun run.The event offers the chance to participate in a day filled with fun, community spirit, and camaraderie – with the aim of helping make time count for people affected by motor neurone disease (MND).MND is a rapidly progressing terminal illness, which stops signals from the brain reaching the muscles.

This may cause someone to lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink or breathe.In Scotland there are around 450 people currently living with MND, with almost 200 people across the country diagnosed with the condition each year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Every penny raised will contribute to essential services for people affected by MND and power pioneering MND research.Families, adults, children, mums, dads, colleagues, friends and, of course, furry friends are all invited to join in on the fun.The site will open at 10am with the race beginning at 11am.Tic
