Paisley's Circle of hope as unique recovery hub vows to offer specialist support

An addictions and mental health recovery hub – the first of its kind in Scotland – has been officially opened in Paisley.The Circle (Continuing in Recovery Changes Lives Entirely) hub offers people recovering from alcohol and drug addition tailored support.Uniquely, the hub ensures that people in recovery can receive support for mental health problems while receiving treatment for their addiction – the two are no longer seen as two separate issues.The hub has been created in partnership with local people who have lived or living experiences of mental health, alcohol or drug related issues.It first opened its doors at the end of last year but was formally opened by Angela Constance MSP, minister for drugs policy on Wednesday.The minister was given a tour of Circle, where she met members of staff and was introduced to local people already benefiting from the newly-refurbished facilities on Paisley’s Glasgow Road.Renfrewshire Live, the new free app dedicated to bringing you around the clock breaking news, is now available to download.Powered by the Paisley Daily Express, Renfrewshire Live is your go-to source for news, features and sport with live coverage provided direct to the app, seven days a week.The dedicated team of experienced journalists, responsible for the publication of the award-winning Express, will focus on breaking news, day and night, across Renfrewshire’s towns and villages.There is also a dedicated St Mirren section that will follow every kick of the ball with the Buddies.Available on both Android and Apple.
