Olivia Rodrigo addressed a common misconception about her music while stopping by SiriusXM Studios to promote her new album GUTS on Wednesday (September 6).

The 20-year-old “vampire” hitmaker hopped on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up and was asked if she informs people when she is writing a song about them.

She explained that she approached the situation on a case-by-case basis and that any conversation happens “person to person.” However, she clarified a major point about the music she releases. It’s just very much me becoming a young adult.
