Nicola Sturgeon is expected to announce a cut in the 10 day covid self-isolation period to address crippling staff shortages.

The First Minister will today confirm her Government’s decision after hints by her deputy John Swinney. Scots with covid, as well as their household contacts, have to stay in for ten days to contain soaring Omicron levels.
