Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell (born December 18, 2001) is an American singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Highland Park, Los Angeles, Eilish began singing at a young age. She gained media attention in 2016, when she uploaded the song "Ocean Eyes" on SoundCloud, subsequently released by Darkroom and Interscope Records. "Ocean Eyes" was written and produced by her brother Finneas, with whom she collaborates on music and live shows. Eilish's debut EP, Don't Smile at Me (2017), reached the top 15 in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.

Glastonbury Festival 2022 line-up announced but not everyone is happy

Glastonbury Festival has announced its first 2022 line-up with many more acts and attractions in the pipeline. Two of the three Pyramid headliners have been announced, with Paul McCartney playing on the Saturday and Kendrick Lamar the Sunday.

Billie Eilish will headline the Friday night slot, with Diana Ross also set to appear. It is the first time the festival has gone ahead in two years after being forced to cancel in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Releasing its first wave of acts online, the festival confirmed Foals, Lorde, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Olivia Rodrigo, Wolf Alice and Years & Years will also perform at Worthy Farm in Somerset this summer.

The line-up includes new acts such as Arlo Parks, Doja Cat, Easy Life, Fontaines DC and Griff alongside more established names including Pet Shop Boys, Crowded House, Primal Scream and Supergrass.

But many people reacted negatively to the lineup, with some calling the line-up 'shocking' and 'underwhelming'. One user wrote: "Pretty naff line up and headliners, best year was 2009."
