The musical drama series Soundtrack, which premiered on Netflix in December 2019, is being removed from the streaming service at the end of the month.
The series, created by Gossip Girl and Smash executive producer Joshua Safran, looked at “the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds.” Jenna Dewan, Callie Hernandez, Paul James, Campbell Scott, and Madeleine Stowe starred in the series, which ran for just one season.
The show was canceled by Netflix one month after it premiered. Click inside to find out what Joshua Safran said about the removal news… “By the way, if you haven’t seen my (and @bethshax’s) passion project, SOUNDTRACK, you have 10 more days on Netflix.
The pitch was THIS IS US if it were a musical directed by [Paul Thomas Anderson]. Watch and tell us if we nailed it!” Joshua wrote on Twitter on February 18.
