BOSSES on The Apprentice banned fired candidate Amy Anzel from its final celebration show after she complained Lord Sugar posted “hurtful and insulting” tweets about her.

The US cosmetics entrepreneur missed out on spin-off You’re Hired, to be aired right after the main show’s final. Amy — the oldest ever contestant at 48 — told how she had to undergo therapy after filming the BBC business competition.

She was left distraught after Lord Sugar posted a tweet saying: “Amy didn’t sell she was so slow. Slower than broadband Wi-Fi in Cornwall.” A friend said: “She couldn’t get her head around her firing. "It came in week six because she’d not taken on the project manager role — but they’d failed to show she had put herself up for it in week two.
