thesun.co.ukNEIGHBOURS has been saved and is set for a sensational return - four months after its final episode. Neighbours came to an end in July after 37 years, with the last ever episode airing on Channel 5.
Fans were left devastated but in a shock announcement, Amazon Freevee and Fremantle have revealed the show will be returning to our TV screens after all.
A brand-new series will begin filming in Australia next year and will see show favourites Stefan Dennis, Alan Fletcher, Ryan Moloney, and Jackie Woodburne returning to reprise their leading roles.
The revitalized series will premiere exclusively for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and U.S. and will include streaming rights to thousands of episodes from the previous seasons, available prior to the new series’ premiere.
